Science Labs Project Updates

LOHS Status Summary:

• Substantial completion occurred on August 29, 2025. All of the science classrooms and the science common areas are available to staff and students
• A punch list was completed by the design team, which included Arcadis Architects and PAE Engineers
• Systems West Engineers completed commissioning services the last week of August

Project Manager’s Notes:

• Punch list items are being reviewed by the general contractor and scheduled around student and staff occupancy

LHS Status Summary:

• Phase 1 construction is complete, with a few punch list items being completed
• O&M’s & as-builts have been reviewed by the consultants and returned to Paradigm for corrections

• Fire Marshal's final inspection is approved

LHS Phase 2 Status Summary:

• Drywall, taping, texture, and painting are ongoing
• Base cabinets are being installed
• Above-ground plumbing is 100% complete, and an inspection was approved
• MEP is ongoing throughout
• Exhaust Fans and roof patch have been completed

• Project team meetings are scheduled every week on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.

• Phase 2 construction started on June 16, 2025, and will encompass the remaining classrooms and common areas, as well as a new AHU (air handling unit). The AHU has been ordered with an expected delivery in July 2025
• The contractor is installing casework in all classrooms
• Demolition is complete
• MEP work is in progress throughout the project

• The city permit has been issued
• Underground piping has been scoped and jetted for cleaning
• Concrete floor saw cutting and demo removal is complete
• Underground plumbing is 50% complete, and an inspection was approved
• MEP is ongoing throughout the project
