Outdoor CTE Projects

Status Summary:

• Greenhouse is growing multiple plants
• Outdoor classroom has been completed and is in use
• Landscaping is complete and irrigation has been installed
• Raised bed planter boxes have been installed
• Winter crops have been planted in garden areas
• Solar flower has been installed and turned on to rotate with the sun and put power back into the school

Project Status:

• Greenhouse structure has been installed and is being used by teachers
• Outdoor classroom has been completed and is in use
• Landscaping is complete and irrigation has been installed

• Handrails and guardrails are complete
• Clean-up is complete and all asphalt and curbs have been installed
• Final inspections have been approved; Certificate of Occupancy has been issued
• A divider wall has been installed in classroom D27, adjacent to the library, creating classroom D27B.

• Landscaping has been planted and irrigation has been installed; additional landscape area has been installed at east end of project
• Solar flower has been installed and turned on to rotate with the sun

Project Manager's Notes:

• Substantial Completion - August 18, 2023
• Punch lists have been provided and are being resolved
• A divider wall is being installed in Classroom D27, adjacent to the library, creating Classroom D27B. Final inspections are being completed

The Smart Flower at Lakeridge High School is an intelligent sculpture functioning as an all-in-one solar system, generating clean energy. This sculpture and the new outdoor learning facilitity will be ready for fall classes. 

Project Status:

• Greenhouse structure is installed and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing is being installed and connected
• Outdoor classroom is complete with finishes being installed
• Landscaping is being prepped and irrigation being installed; additional landscape area is being installed at east end of project
• Solar flower is installed and being connected
• Solar flower pedestal is complete with tile being installed on all sides
• Clean up is ongoing with asphalt completed
