March 2025
Construction Activity Updates:
- Concrete pours for interior slabs are complete
- Structural CMU walls are nearly complete
- Structural steel erection is well underway
- Electrical vaults, main equipment pads, and main pathways are nearly complete
- Concrete columns are being poured
- Parking lot underground utilities are being installed, area is being graded, and curbs placed
- Concrete walls and plinths are being placed ahead of steel stairs
FAQs:
- When will the project be done? Summer 2026 for the start of the Fall school year
- Is the high school softball field open during construction? Yes, but only for high school softball events
- Is the driveway to the site open during construction? No, it is for construction access only, except as previously coordinated
January 2025
Status Summary:
- Stormwater underground utilities are continuing to be installed
- Decommissioning of the existing underground heating oil tank is pending final soil testing
- Structural CMU is progressing at the south half of the site and is complete at the north half (classroom wing)
- Slab-on grade concrete pours are ongoing and will be complete in the next several weeks
- Underground electrical and plumbing for interior spaces are continuing, ahead of each slab on grade concrete pour
- Structural steel erection is ongoing at the north end of the building
- Temporary gym/space at Uplands is pending final inspections

- Project is on schedule
- Site logistics are being updated and monitored for student and pedestrian pathways and access around the project
December 2024
Status Summary:
- Underground utilities are continuing to go in for water and storm
- Decommissioning of the existing underground heating oil tank is underway and will be complete following further testing and excavation
- Structural CMU is progressing throughout the building
- Slab on grade concrete pours are ongoing, weather permitting
- Underground electrical and plumbing for interior spaces are continuing, ahead of each slab on grade concrete pour
- Concrete site retaining walls near the main entrance of the school driveway are completed, and sidewalk placement is ongoing
- Structural steel continues to arrive onsite in preparation for steel erection
- Basalt stone columns for seating and retaining are being set
- Temporary gym/space and temporary gravel parking at Uplands are ongoing

September 2024
Status Summary:
- Abatement is complete
- Demolition will wrap up soon
- Underground utilities are going in for water, storm, and sewer
- Earthwork and ground improvements are ongoing
- Contractor is dealing with some unsuitable soils and hauling them offsite
- Concrete footings have begun
- Construction for temporary gym/space and temporary gravel parking at Uplands has started
Project Manager’s Notes:
- Project is on schedule and is substantially through the submittal process
- Contractor is trying to complete as much earthwork as possible ahead of the rainy season
- Remaining Food Service Equipment scope is going out to bid
- Temporary gym sprinkler design is close to being completed and will be permitted soon
June 2024
Status Summary:
- Robinson Construction has mobilized and most permits are issued
- Moves have been completed and some items and devices from the old school have been salvaged
- Submittal process is underway
- Abatement has begun
- Demolition and site grading will begin shortly after abatement gets underway
Project Manager’s Notes:
- Project is on schedule and will allow for early procurement of materials and equipment
- Scope in the right-of-way is anticipated to start and be mostly wrapped up this summer
